01
The brief
A narrow 1930s bathroom with a bath nobody used. The bath went, a walk-in shower took its place, and a timber vanity with a stone top and an arched mirror gave the room a softer, period-appropriate shape.

The key decision
- i.
Fewer joints, calmer walls
Large-format stone-look porcelain on the walls means fewer grout lines in a small room, so it reads as bigger and cleans faster.
