An Edwardian kitchen in sage and marble
- Property
- Edwardian villa, c. 1910
- Scope
- Kitchen and breakfast nook
- Duration
- 14 weeks
- Services
- Kitchens & bathrooms
01
The brief
The owners wanted a kitchen that looked as if it might always have been there. Painted shaker cabinetry, honed marble and unlacquered brass suit the Edwardian house, while the appliances are fully modern and mostly hidden.

The key decision
- i.
Painted, not laminated
Two-pack painted cabinetry can be touched up and repainted in years to come, so the kitchen can age with the house.
